Resignation, Kevin Lowery

7th Regiment Youth Performing Arts Organization announces the resignation of Executive Director Kevin Lowery. The board of directors has subsequently appointed Jim O’Neil to the position of Interim Executive Director, effective immediately.

Mr. Lowery joined 7th Regiment in 2014 as an instructor with the brass line. In 2015, he took on the position of Brass Caption Manager where he stayed for 2 years until taking on the role of Executive Director in 2017.

Under Mr. Lowery’s leadership, 7th Regiment continued to be a DCI Open Class Finalist and a frontrunner in the annual Drumline Battle competition held in Indianapolis every year since 2014.

Mr. Lowery held the Organization together throughout 2020, hosting masterclasses and creating the 7th Regiment Performing Arts Academy. Through innovation and dedication, he led a virtual season in 2021 and a return to the field in 2022, giving the students a full season during a summer where a number of drum corps were unable to attend Championships.

The board of directors thanks Mr. Lowery for his years of dedication, passion, and hard work in service of the 7th Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps and the many students who have been through the corps under his leadership.

Further information regarding the position of Executive Director will be forthcoming and 7RYPAO will provide updates on the 7th Regiment website (www.seventhregiment.org)
